More Info on Nukabe:

Since 1989 Nukabe’s parent company has been in the U.S. manufacturing OEM automobile parts for several automakers. With ten plants worldwide, Nukabe group has become a well-established organization based on quality and service.

With six plants, and the origins of Nukabe, being in Japan, we began looking at other automotive markets to serve. In 2001, we saw a growing market in Japanese performance automobiles and aftermarket. This is when we opened discussions with Cusco Japan to build a business relationship. Over the next couple years several meetings were held to address the possibility of legitimate distributorship of the Cusco line.

In April 2003, Nukabe Automotive Parts Sales, Inc began business out of our parent company located in Mattoon, IL. Our main focus was supplying the U.S. with the vastly large lineup of Cusco along with English-speaking customer support. We immediately began exhibiting at many of the shows and events around the country with the International Auto Salon 2003 being one of them. The response was amazing as people made their way into our booth.

Business grew quickly through the summer as word got out that there was a company stocking much of the full Cusco lineup. By the SEMA Show 2003, (November) we had outgrown our facility with our parent company and were ready to move to our own building.

In our new building we continued to grow through the winter of 2003. By February 2004, Cusco Japan announced that Nukabe Automotive would be the Master Import Distributor for the U.S.A. With this amazing accomplishment under our belts, we continued through the year attending events such as IAS West ’04, IAS East ’04, SEMA Show ’04, and the JGTC All-star Race.

October would prove to be yet another important month for Nukabe. On October 15th, 2004 we officially began operations in a Torrance, CA facility. This was a huge step forward as this has enabled us to service the west coast, east coast and everything in between in about 2-3 day ship time.

Since the establishment of our company, it has been one of our goals to offer more product lines to our customers. In the past year we have been able to establish distribution for, IPF lighting, Bride seats, Gram Light wheels, Espelir springs, and Project Mu brakes. We plan to add more as the year progresses.

At Nukabe we have Japanese on staff to help with specific translation questions that occasionally arise. Also, two of our salespersons have been trained at Cusco Japan on several different occasions to offer top-notch customer service. If there is a question that our sales staff cannot answer, we can find out by asking Cusco directly. No middleman here. We continually strive to offer the highest quality service and products at Nukabe Automotive. We thank all of our customers and dealers that have supported us over the last couple years and we look forward to many years of success in the future.
